Description
This bone broth recipe for dogs is rich in gelatin, collagen, and minerals. Slow-simmered with raw bones, apple cider vinegar, and carrots—perfect for joint, gut, and skin support.
Ingredients
1.5–2 lbs raw beef marrow bones or chicken backs
2 knuckle bones
4 chopped carrots
1/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar
Water to cover bones by 1 inch
Instructions
1. Place bones and carrots in slow cooker.
2. Add enough water to cover bones by 1 inch.
3. Pour in apple cider vinegar.
4. Cook on LOW for 24–48 hours.
5. Add water as needed to keep bones submerged.
6. Remove bones and strain out all fragments.
7. Cool to room temp.
8. Refrigerate, then skim fat before serving.
Notes
Store in the fridge for 5–7 days or freeze in silicone cubes for up to 3 months.
Do not serve the bones—strain them all out.
Serve chilled, warmed, or as a frozen treat.
